The Teranga Lions of Senegal has joined the Super Eagles of Nigeria to book play off ticket for the final phase of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Alain Giresse?s side needed a second half Sadio Mane goal to silence the 10-man Uganda Cranes team.
Cranes defender Geoffrey Walusimbi was sent-off for a bad foul on Gassama Lamine in the 36th minute. Earlier another Cranes defender Isaac Isinde had also been cautioned.
But Manchester United striker Diouf Mane Biram had missed several scoring chances for the Lions, before he was replaced.
The win sent Senegal top of the table with 12 points, while the Cecafa regional champions finished with 8 points.
Senegal now joins the likes of Ethiopia, Nigeria, Egypt and Ivory Coast among others in the final phase of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
