The Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Most Reverend Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodzinski, has charged all the catholic priests and other religious to serve humanity diligently and faithfully as God commanded.
He said the Priests and other religious including the Reverend Brothers and Sisters had been sacrificed to provide comfort to humanity through evangelization and needed to abide and live by those tenets.
The Apostolic Nuncio said this in a Homily in Bolgatanga at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish in the Upper East Region, when he presided over Holy Mass for the Priests and other religious (Brothers and Sisters) of the Catholic Diocese of Navrongo-Bolgatanga.
Most Reverend Jagodzinski who is visiting the diocese for the first time since his appointment by Pope Francis in 2020, is in the diocese to celebrate the Mass marking the celebration of the centenary anniversary of the Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Minor Basilica in Navrongo in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality.
The Centenary celebration would come off Saturday, September 18, 2021.
The Apostolic Nuncio acknowledged that the work of the Priests and other religious was a difficult one, however, God through Jesus Christ had given them the strength, zeal and grace to serve faithfully and unconditionally.
Most Reverend Jagodzinski said it was by only sacrifice and faithful service to humanity that they would be fulfilling their orders and vows and receive indulgence from God.
“You must follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ and serve your fellow human beings, you must love one another because that is what Jesus Christ teaches us to do and this by that way that you will be in communion with Him,” he added.
