Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale, has finally launched his much awaited ride-hailing platform called “Shaxi”.
The multiple award-winning musician was on Wednesday joined by fellow celebrities in Accra for the launch of the ridesharing project ‘Shaxi’, a portmanteau of ‘Shatta’ and ‘taxi’,
According to the musician, the vision behind Shaxi was to create a sustainable business with focus on providing employment for the teaming unemployed Ghanaians.
Shatta Wale in an appreciation video was elated with the launch of the platform and Ghanaians for their unwavering support as well as team members that supported the project.
“Everybody knows the love I have for the youth of Ghana and how I want to see them doing well. I want to see the boys on the streets move from being unemployed and get gainful employment.
“I have always wanted to use the blessing God has given me to make an impact in the society and that is how Shaxi dream was born. At the end of the day we want to make an impact and leave our mark.
“Shaxi is not just Shatta Wale and friends but a Ghanaian project for Ghanaians so let’s all embrace it as our own to make Ghana better for us,” he said.
