It’s no news that VGMAs has disqualified ‘Mahama paper’ hitmaker, Shatta Wale from this year’s award. The board stated among others that he needs to complete an apology process he has started before they will consider him for subsequent awards.
Shatta Wale has reacted to his disqualification on Pluzz Fm. When asked by the host what he makes of the board’s decision to disqualify him from this year’s award scheme.
He said, “VGMAs or No VGMAs, I’m ok. Initially I decided not to talk about this but I think some of these decisions bring out the best in me. That’s when people doubt me, it motivates me to prove them wrong.
He however has a message for the fans. According to him, he knew they were disappointed by the board’s decision.
He said, “To the fans, I always say I motivate people through my music. The fans are doing all those things because they are not OK about the board’s decision, it’s because of how passionate and emotional they are about me. That’s life…” He ended emotionally.
