Sierra Leone’s newly appointed said Thursday that providing security during the March 7 general elections would be a herculean task.

Richard Moigbe, Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), said as official campaign looms, communication and transportation challenges hampered their provision of security.

While disclosing they are about to install a toll line for receiving distress calls, the police boss stressed the need to provide the institution with vehicles to enable responds.

He said most of their vehicles need to either be repaired or replaced before the elections. Enditem
