Two men have been arrested by the police on Saturday for standing in front of the Instana, Singapore’s official residence and office of the president, ignoring police officers’ requests to stop the activity, said Channel NewsAsia.
According to the police, the two men, aged between 24 and 25, turned up in front of the Istana with placards at about 4:00 p.m. They were holding signs that read “You can’t silence the people” and “Injustice” for about half an hour.
As they had ignored requests from the police officers to stop the activity, they were arrested for organizing a public assembly without permit. The two men are not affiliated to any groups or organizations. Enditem
