More police officers and medical personnel are heading for quake-hit Nepal from Singapore on Friday.
Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that nine officers from SPF and one forensic pathologist from the Health Sciences Authority departed for Nepal at 9:10 a.m. on Friday morning. The team of police officers will join the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the 69-member Home Team contingent in search and rescue and other disaster relief efforts.
Separately, the Ministry of Health sent two doctors and four nurses from the Singapore General Hospital, and a Nepalese doctor from Tan Tock Seng Hospital. They will join SAF’s medical team in Nepal, and are expected to be deployed for up to two weeks.
In addition, SPF is planning to send more officers over the next few days to aid disaster relief efforts. Enditem
