The Sintex Group of Companies has presented various food items to the Rebecca Foundation’s Relief Boxes Challenge for onward distribution to those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Group donated 1,000 relief boxes containing rice, cooking oil, milk, sugar, canned tomatoes and fish among other items to be shared among the vulnerable in the various catchment communities of Rebecca Foundation.
Mrs Sheela Sakyi Oppong, a Strategist at the Foundation, who received the items, thanked the Group and other donors who had, so far, contributed to the Relief Boxes Challenge.
She said the Foundation was committed to supporting those most affected by COVID-19 and its accompanied hardships.
“The Rebecca Foundation will continue to support those most affected by the current hardships in Greater Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi, and we hope many more companies and individuals will partner with us so we can reach out to more people, especially women and children,” Mrs Sakyi Oppong stated.
