Six people were killed in two road accidents in western Kenya on Thursday, police said.
In one accident, four people died when a motorcycle collided with a trailer near Kaburengu market along the Webuye-Eldoret road.
Divisional police commander for the area, Justus Maina, said the motorcyclist and three passengers were killed on the spot after the truck, which was descending a steep slope, ploughed into the motorcycle.
The police commander said the driver of the trailer has been arrested and would appear in court for dangerous driving.
In the other accident in Kisumu county, a father and his son lost their lives after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into River Sondu-Miriu along Katito-Homa Bay road.
