The two-storey building will have facilities such as multimedia classrooms, language laboratories, libraries, culture centers and a 250-seater auditorium, among others.

It will be constructed by the Changxin International Engineering Ghana Limited in collaboration with the University of Ghana and the Zhejiang University of Technology (ZUT), co-host of the institute.

The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Sun Baohong, was pleased to see that both Ghana and China attached great importance to education and put cultivation of talents in the first place as the national strategy.

She sincerely hoped that the Confucius Institute could provide opportunities for every young student to perform.

In a message to the gathering, Cai Yuanqiang, President of the ZUT, believed the construction of the building would promote the development of the Confucius Institute which has been running at Ghana’s premier university for more than two years.

The new building is expected to be completed within a year. Enditem
