Five civilians were killed and three others injured as roadside bomb struck a vehicle in Arghistan district of the southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, police spokesman in the province Zia Durani said. “A mine planted by terrorists on a road in Arghistan district struck a vehicle at around 10:00 a.m. local time today killing five people, all civilians on the spot and injuring three others including a mother and her child,” Durani told Xinhua.
Taliban militants who are largely relying on suicide and roadside bombing have yet to claim responsibility.
