Sports Cul Ghana limited, a sports management firm in Ghana has pledged to support lesser known sports as well as cultural activities with a total of $44 million over a period of one year.
According to Mr. Frank Boahene an executive member of Sports Cul, due to the change in government the firm is waiting for Mr. Isaac Asiamah, Youth and Sports minister designate to take office so that they can meet with him and strategize on how to kick-start the process.
Sports Cul Ghana had promised to support the Ghana Premier league clubs, Women Football league, division One League clubs and other sports and Cultural activities.
Mr. Kwaku Ofosu Asare, Communications Director of Sports Cul, at a press conference last year said the firm was determined and committed to improving the development of the local league matches in Ghana and “we are ready to support the development of football and other sporting disciplines in the country” he noted.
Speaking to Mr. Boahene, he said the firm has not forgotten all the promises they made concerning the development of sports and culture, but is just waiting to do things in a proper way.
Mr Asare said ‘’Sports Cul Ghana limited enjoys a direct relationship with its partners in United Arab Emirates since 2007.The agreement between sports Cul and the foreign investors is for twelve years, after which the investors will conduct a review to assess the project so far,’’ he noted.
