Pay-TV operator StarTimes on Thursday announced a 25 percent discount on its terrestrial and satellite set-top boxes and startup kit prices as season giveaway to its subscribers.

Aldrine Nsubuga, regional marketing director for East Africa said the offers are in line with the company’s drive to maintain its subscriber numbers and upholding its subscriber growth and retention plan in the country while remaining the premium content provider.

Myke Mwai, content director, StarTimes said “in our endeavor to offer our subscribers access to more premium content, we are focusing on increasing our investment in local productions, which is key not only being competitive on price but also offering best local content that will be available on our platform moving forward,” he said.
