amc-removes-steven-yeun-from-the-walking-dead-opening-credit

While fans are still crossing fingers for an appearance of Glenn on “The Walking Dead”, AMC removes the actor behind the character from the opening credit. It only further confuses fans about the fate of Glenn on the hit show.

The beloved character was supposedly “dead” on last week’s episode but many thought it was Nicholas’ guts being torn out by the zombies. Furthermore, Steven Yeun did not appear on the after-show “The Talking Dead” or was he featured on the in-memoriam section. This week’s episode is detached from previous episode’s stories by focusing on Morgan, thereforefans are left hanging there for a while.

Yeun recently signed a new contract, THR reported, but it could also mean that he was being released from the show. The actor was spotted on the set with new cast Tom Payne who is yet to appear on the show. Showrunner Scott Gimple was playing it coy when talking about the big death but confirmed that Glenn would be seen again.

“Dear fans of The Walking Dead,” he said in a statement last week. “This is a hard story to tell, and when we were planning to tell it, we know our friends at ‘The Walking Dead’ would be talking to you about it, and we knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn’t mean to say or not say. So I’ll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback, or in the current story, to help complete the story.”
