A study from the University of Victoria in British Columbia revealed that our atmosphere is much more fragile than we thought. We already knew that eventually the sun will get brighter, the Earth will take on too much radiation, and the seas will boil away, creating a Venus-like hellscape. The study found that it?s actually much easier to trigger this runaway greenhouse effect than we thought and it?ll happen?less than?a billion years from now. We thought we had double that. The good news? We can?t trigger it. No matter how much we pollute, it wouldn?t be enough. That?s not to say unchecked pollution wouldn?t have other consequences, just this apocalyptic scenario isn?t on us. Yay. ? By?Nick Mangione?[Source]
