The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Suhum Constituency has observed a misleading narrative being spread to downplay the construction of Suhum’s first-ever AstroTurf at Anglican Park.
Contrary to the claims by the NDC’s communication officer, Dove Maxwell, the project did not commence three months ago, as alleged. The sod-cutting ceremony took place in the second week of September 2024 and has experienced occasional delays due to rainfall.
Dove’s reference to a three-month show lacks sincerity and understanding of the complexities involved in constructing a modern AstroTurf. Such projects progress through multiple stages, using specialised materials and techniques, including synthetic fibres like nylon, polypropylene, and infill materials such as sand, rubbers , glue , pegs, etc
However, the contractor remains committed to completing the project to high standards.
We emphasize that Suhum will continue to prioritize facts over gimmicks, recognizing the positive impact of this development on the community.
