Emmanuel ‘Gameboy’ Tagoe (30-1, 14Ko’s) has moved to third position on the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Lightweight rankings released on Monday.
Vasiliy Lomanchenko the reigning WBO titleholder and top pound-for-pound contender maintains top spot in the division and would be in action next month against Anthony Crolla.
Tagoe, the former International Organisation (IBO) Lightweight Champion, would be looking to get a chance to fight for the title, as he recently throw a challenge to Lomanchenko after his triumph against Russia’s Gusev last month.
”My next target is Lomachenko and I want to go out and win World title for Ghana like Richard Commey has done,” Tagoe said.
Tagoe is expected to have his next fight in the United States of America (USA) after securing a promotional deal, with international outfit, Lou DiBella.
