During the launch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign in Tamale, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, he criticized Vice President and NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, urging him to prioritize discussing his economic management record rather than seeking debates with John Dramani Mahama.
Mohammed questioned Bawumia’s credibility and commitment to economic revival, highlighting rising costs without corresponding government action.
“If you go to the market today, prices have skyrocketed without any indication of government intervention,” Mohammed stated, dismissing Bawumia’s debate challenges to Mahama.
Mohammed emphasized, “He should debate his own record and the plight of Ghanaians instead of diverting attention.”
He also condemned what he described as historic corruption under the current government.
Mohammed urged voters to consider these issues in the upcoming election, advocating for change away from the NPP.
