Ahead the international friendly match between two known football rivals in Africa -the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Black Stars of Ghana, in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has charged coach Stephen Keshi to use the match to discover new players into the troubled Eagles’team as well as prepare them to win their remaining qualifying matches for the 2015 African Cup of Nation (AFCON) holding in Morocco early next year.

The Eagles under the tutelage of embattled coach Keshi will host the Black Stars in a friendly to mark the formal opening of the newly built Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo. The encounter is coming few days before the Eagles take on Congo and South Africa respectively in the final two matches of AFCON qualifier. A sweeping wins of both tie will see the Eagles qualify for the Morocco tournament.

TAN, represented by the Director of Public Communications/strategy, Dr Udenta Udenta in a congratulatory message to the Akwa Ibom State government on the Commissioning of the new Stadium today noted that the friendly match will offer the Eagles coach the opportunity to look at new players invited for the match and prepare the team well for the remaining must win AFCON matches against Congo and South Africa.

According to TAN which is a leading Non Governmental Organization NGO and leading supporter of Nigeria football the Eagles, as the reining African Champion have to be in Morocco next year to defend the AFCON trophy because the absent of the team as defending Champion is a bad omen for Nigeria football and the fans cannot accept it.

TAN said, “Nigerians as a football loving people cannot afford to accept the absent of the their darling team in Morocco and based on that all hands must be on deck to ensure that the team wins the remaining matches to qualify for the tournament, we therefore charge the coach and the players to deliver these much needed victories that will see the team through as we assure them of support with prayers”

The popular NGO which is a top most pro Jonathan group ahead of the 2015 general elections, used the opportunity to commend the effort of president Jonathan for his prompt intervention on the crises rocking the Nigeria Football Federation which made the country to escape FIFA sledge hammer on Nigeria.

While charging football fans across the country to continue praying for the Eagles to qualify for the Morocco AFCON tourney the pro Jonathan group commended the government of Akwa Ibom State for providing all it takes to built a new international standard stadium noting that the new Stadium is in line with Transformation Agenda being champion by Jonathan’s administration.
