The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has joined millions of patriotic Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to express deep excitement over the World Health Organization(WHO)’s certification of Nigeria as Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) free.

The TAN’s Director of Public Communications and Strategy, Dr Udenta O. Udenta in a media statement copy of which was made available to journalists from the corporate headquarters of the advocacy group said the nation’s victory over the deadly Virus is an indication of the feat that can be achieved when there is unity of purpose among all well meaning Nigerrians.

Dr Udenta pointed out that the quick response from the federal government under the watchful eyes of the Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu in collaborations with other levels of government is very commendable.

He also gave a thumbs up to all the health workers, the volunteers and other stakeholders who put their lives on the line and even sometimes paid the supreme sacrifice in their concerted efforts to kick the disease out of the country.

The TAN spokesman noted that with collective efforts of all Nigerians, the nation would surely triumph over every other challenges, stressing the need to avoid divisive tendencies as a people. Because, according to him there is no height a nation cannot climb when there is peace, stability and equilibrium in the society.

He however urged Nigerians to continue to embrace the hygienic culture of constantly washing their hands and other healthy practices to ensure a permanent victory over the deadly virus and other related issues.

The TAN spokesperson also tasked those that are charged with the responsibilities of manning the nation’s boarders to continue to do their work with patriotic zeal to avoid a situation where a personality like the American-Liberian, Patrick Sawyer would sneak into the country and the ugly process will begin all over again.
