A fatal road accident in Nigeria’s northern region killed 10 and injured 45 others, according to local police on Sunday.
The accident occurred late Saturday along the Kasuwar Daji-Gusau road in the northwestern state of Zamfara, the police said.
Muhammad Shehu, a spokesman for the police in the state, told reporters that a truck conveying passengers and goods from a local market had lost control and rammed into a nearby bush.
The 45 survivors are being treated for sustaining various degrees of injuries, said Shehu.
He added that authorities in the state had ordered an immediate investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. Enditem
