The Traditional Council at Teshie has vow to strive to resolve disputes between feuding parties amicably.
Nii Kwaobotwe said educational standards had fallen in many Teshie community and urged his elders to partner with government and tenant’s to mobilize resources to improve up education in the Teshie metropolis.
He explained that the recent disputes which have characterised the installation of three rival occupants of the Teshie Paramount stool, creating anxiety among a lot of people in the Teshie traditional area, should serve as a wake-up call for the government to put in place tight security measures to forestall any eventualities.
?No unauthorised traditional ruler was allowed to sprinkle the customary corn food, Kpokpoi, to climax the celebration of the festival,it is regretable that the chieftaincy institution which is an embodiment of unity, is now being used by a few selfish and disgruntled elements to cause disaffection among the people”he lamented.
He noted that instead of leading the people to engage in meaningful developments, the so-call kingmakers is rather being used as a tool by some unknown to forment trouble that will disturb the peace of the Teshie community.
Stressing that some of our elders and opinion leaders have also allowed themselves to be used by politicians for their selfish ambitions.
We are pleading with the elders and so-call kingmakers in Teshie to allow peace to prevail so that programmes and projects of the government to improve the living conditions of the people Teshie, will go on uninterrupted”he hinted.
