Just hours after stealing six computer towers and a new laptop, a group of burglars had a change of heart and returned the items after realizing they had broken into a rape crisis center.

The burglars managed to get inside the offices of the San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services through the roof of the building.

The intruders set off a motion sensor, but were long gone by the time police arrived. To everyone?s surprise, several hours later, the motion detector went off again.

This time police found something they never expected; the burglars had returned everything and even left a note apologizing for their actions.

?We had no idea what we were takeing (sic),? the note read. ?Here your stuff back we hope that you guys can continue to make a difference in peoples live. God Bless.?

?I was in disbelief. We?re still in shock. ? It?s crazy,? said Candy Stallings, executive director of San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services.

?It?s unbelievable. One minute everything was gone, and the next minute everything was back,? she said.

The theft and the note have drawn a lot of attention to the center.

Stallings created a donation page online after receiving so many calls and e-mails from people wishing to show their support.
