Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is focused on maintaining his fitness ahead of the upcoming Premier League season as the Gunners aim to mount a title challenge.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian missed 29 games last season due to injuries, contributing to Arsenal’s narrow miss in the race for the Premier League crown. Despite their consistent performance as Manchester City’s closest contenders over the past two seasons, Arsenal fell short by just two points in their quest for the title last year.
With only a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, which concludes at the end of the 2024/25 season, Partey emphasized his dedication to improving his consistency and fitness levels.
“I am doing my best to be more consistent and stay fit. It is an everyday job. I cannot give up and need to keep going,” Partey stated in an interview with Hayters TV. Reflecting on his challenges due to injuries, he added, “It’s life! Things happen, and sometimes they are things you cannot control.
I have to keep going and keep fighting. Every time I fall, I have to get up and fight back. That is my mentality. I also think that any time I can help the team, that is what I have to do.”
As Arsenal prepares for the new season, Partey’s determination to maintain his fitness will be crucial as the club seeks to end their Premier League title drought and compete at the highest level of English football.
