Authorities at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in the Ashanti Region, are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a level 300 student on campus over the weekend.
Master Adjei Bediako, a BSc Business Administration (Accounting Option) Student, reportedly collapsed as soon as he started writing the last paper of the semester examination.
He was said to have been rushed quickly to the University Clinic, however, was pronounced dead by the health officials.
The University Relations Office (URO), confirming the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), in Kumasi, said the student’s death had come as a shock to the University community.
The authorities are waiting for the autopsy report to be conducted to know the cause of death, the URO noted.
When the GNA visited the campus, the students were in a state of shock, grieving over the death of their colleague.
