Former President Donald Trump has returned to his home in New Jersey after being injured in an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
Shots were fired as Mr. Trump was speaking at the event, causing panic among the crowd as Secret Service agents moved to protect him.
Mr. Trump, who appeared with a bloodied face, said he was shot in the ear, describing a “whizzing sound” and the sensation of a “bullet ripping through skin.”
The FBI has identified the gunman as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was shot and killed by Secret Service agents at the scene.
The attack also resulted in the death of one spectator and left two others critically injured.
