A Tunisian medical mission headed to Italy on Saturday under the order of Tunisian President Kais Saied to support Italian doctors to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, said Tunisian presidency.

“The medical mission included volunteer doctors specializing in anesthesia, resuscitation and biosafety, as well as volunteer nurses specialized in intensive care,” said a presidency statement.

Tunisian Health Ministry reported on Saturday 14 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 685.

The ministry added that 43 patients have recovered in Tunisia while 28 deaths from the coronavirus were reported in 13 out of 24 provinces in the country. Enditem
