Prophet Dr Eric Computer Man Nana Kwasi Amponsah, General overseer of the Hope Generation Ministry International has called on Ghanaians to continue observing the relevant protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.

He said there was a third wave of the pandemic and Ghanaians needed to still obey all the measures outlined by the health professionals to avoid a hike in the infection.

Prophet Amponsah was speaking to launch this year’s conference of the church at Weija in Accra on Thursday.

Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Minister of Information, Mrs Ursula Owusu Ekuful Minister of Communications and Digitalization and Mr Patrick Kumor, Municipal Chief Executive for Weija Gbawe are expected to address the conference.

The conference dubbed ‘Operation Fire Your Enemies’ begins on Thursday, September 23 and ends on Sunday, September 26.

It is aimed at building the capacity of the participants both spiritually and physically and also pray for peace and sustainable development.

Prophet Amponsah said the delta variant of the disease spread faster than the earlier variant and encouraged members of the public to continue to wash their hands with soap under running water regularly, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer and the wearing of nosemasks.

The General Overseer also urged the public to discard the notion that the disease was a hoax and claiming that COVID-19 was limited to the cities.

Prophet Amponsah called on Ghanaians to cultivate the habit of love for peace, harmonious living, national tolerance and sustainable development.
