The Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Richard Opoku-Adusei, has commissioned two projects at the Support Services Brigade Group Headquarters at Burma Camp.
The two projects are Five-unit Administration Block and an Arch over the main gate at Brigade Headquarters. The project was completed in 10 months and funded by the Brigade Headquarters with support from philanthropists.
A statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Eric Aggrey-Quashie, Acting Director Public Relations and copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday, noted that the benefits of the new block to the staff of the Brigade Head Quarters could not be over-emphasized since it would create a much congenial working environment for the staff.
Maj. Gen. Opoku-Adusei commended the officers, men, women and civilian employees of the Brigade for the numerous activities they engaged in, especially the ?self-help? projects.
He urged personnel of the Brigade Head Quarters to take good care of the facilities and equipment so that they could derive maximum benefits from them.
The Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General Musa Whajah, the Commander of Support Services at Brigade Group, commended the unit for the bold step in giving the Brigade Headquarters a new look.
Brig-Gen Whajah stressed that the completion of the Administration block would allow the Brigade Headquarters and the Camp, work independently, while the Gate arch would also beautify the Headquarters.
