TWO SUSPECTED armed robbers, who stormed Atwima Boko in the Ashanti Region on a robbery spree in the early hours of Monday, have been lynched by an angry mob.
One of the robbers, who suffered the instant justice, was identified as Bawa, 29.
He was said to be a known robber who resided at Boko Zongo.
The two deceased persons were said to be part of a five-man robbery gang that stormed Atwima Boko on a robbery expedition.
The suspected robbers reportedly seized mobile phones belonging to two people before luck eluded them.
Augustine Apau, an eyewitness, said the five robbers initially snatched a mobile phone from a certain man.
They then moved to Boko Abotanso, where they also robbed a woman, who was standing by the roadside, of her mobile phone.
The said lady then raised an alarm, which attracted a sizeable number of people, mostly youth, to the scene.
Residents of the area then gave the five robbers a wild chase leading to the arrest of two of them.
The mob then took the law into their hands by beating the suspects with deadly weapons including blocks and metals, leading to their deaths.
The three other hoodlums managed to escape with the items, which they had ?seized from their victims on the day.
A pistol and money was found in the pocket of one of the robbers, Augustine Apau disclosed.
