Godwin Kwame Agbeshie and Joshua Mensah in police custody
Two suspected armed robbers who went on a robbery spree last Saturday night attacking taxi drivers and collecting their daily sales and other valuables have been arrested by the Tesano Police.
The suspects, Godwin Kwame Agbeshie, 20 and Joshua Mensah, 20, were grabbed in the act when one of their victims called the police control room for assistance.
They are now in the custody of the Tesano District Police Command assisting in investigations.
Narrating the arrest to the media, the District Commander, Chief Superintendent Lydia Donkor said the suspects attacked the first victim who was then driving a Daewoo Matiz with registration number GS 3379-12 at Industrial area around 2:00am of March 22, 2014.
Wielding a knife and a pair of scissors, the suspects inflicted multiple wounds on the victim before robbing him of sales of GH?65 and a mobile phone.
The two then left the victim to his fate and proceeded to attack another person.
One victim they had earlier robbed called police information room for assistance and immediately the Tesano Police were informed.
?Our patrol team was within the area. So they immediately rushed to the scene and managed to apprehend the two suspects.?
The pair of scissors and the knife which they used to commit the offence were also retrieved by the police.
The suspects have been charged with the offence of robbery and would be sent to court soon.
