U.S. and Ugandan troops have completed two months of joint military training on crisis response on the African continent.
A statement from the U.S. mission here on Friday said the training consisted of seven main operational areas of motor transport operations, maintenance, communications, supply, civil engineering, heavy equipment operations, and utilities management.
The training was held in the eastern Ugandan district of Jinja.
After the training, the U.S. also donated 30 trucks, two bulldozers, and medical and communications equipment among others.
Brig. Richard Karemire, Uganda’s military spokesperson, said the training and donation will enhance their efforts to fight against terrorism and enhancing capabilities in peacekeeping operations on the continent. Enditem
