A United Arab Emirates (UAE) delegation headed by Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum has arrived in Angola’s capital Luanda to discuss with Angolan authorities the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements in the field of agriculture.

The UAE delegation will review among others, the agricultural mechanization program in Angola, based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries signed last December.

The United Arab Emirates set out last July to invest about two billion U.S. dollars in the installation of a tractor assembly line in Angola, as well as in electricity and gas production and agriculture.

Angola and the UAE are members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. Both countries have signed in June 2015 two agreements, one for economic and technical cooperation and the other for the creation of a joint commission. Enditem
