The company has upgraded and expanded the Airport Shell service station to meet new trends and the growing demands of this dynamic community. This forms part of Vivo Energy?s growth plan of modernization as the company?continues to invest in their business to meet world class standards and ensure that their service stations are accessible, clean, efficient customer friendly and design to meet expectations.

According to Managing Director of Vivo Ghana Mr. Ebenezer Faulkner, the company will continue to set new standards for quality, convenience and service in Ghana.

He added that Vivo Energy Ghana Limited is fully committed to growing and improving its business and creating opportunities for employment, customers, partners and local communities. Last year the company opened 24 new service stations across the country and this year Vivo Energy has continued to grow the business by opening 23 more new stations so far, bringing our total to 163 across the country. It is against this background that the company has been awarded the Petroleum Company of the year 2014, by highly esteemed Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana.

The CEO of Vivo Energy Mr. Christian Chammas, stated that for more than 100 years, the word ?shell? the ?Pecten? emblem and the distinctive red and yellow colours has stood not only for the quality of their products and services, but also as a very visible presentation of the company?s professionalism and values in all of our business activities.

He said the Accra Airport city is growing fast and as a company committed to the changing needs of its customers.

According to Mr. Christian Chammas the Kotoka International Airport Shell service station is Ghana?s number one fuel station and also the largest Shell service station in the sub-region. The prestigious KIA Shell station is the most preferred, loved and visited fuel station in Ghana due to Shell?s reputation for reliable supply of High Quality fuels at the right price.

He said as part of the company?s strategy to enhance the total customer experience at Ghana?s favourite service station, KIA Shell service station has been expanded to 18 filling points to ensure speedy, easy and hassle free refueling. The company has also included other non-fuel services such as ultra-modern shell select shop, lube bay, first class tyre center, ATM farm, quick service restaurant and other specialized shops such as pharmacy, gift shop and travel and tour services. The facility has also been designed to provide accessibility and convenience for persons with disability.

Mr. Christian Chammas continued by assuring Ghanaian motorist that Shell will continue to offer high quality fuels at the right price.

Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Petroleum, the Deputy Minister of Petroleum Hon. Benjamin Dagadu said the inauguration demonstrates Vivo Energy?s commitment to investing in the energy sector. He expressed his happiness over the fact that Vivo Energy went through the appropriate authorities to secure all the necessary approvals before the expansion of this station.

The Deputy Minister of Petroleum used opportunity to advise all oil marketing companies to comply with environmental best practice and related laws regulating their operations, because compliance most importantly saves lives and also prevent damage to the environment and property.

He also acknowledged other initiatives Vivo Energy Ghana has embarked on such as a community investment initiatives in the country ? focused on road safety, education, and environment which are worth commending.
