Unilever Ghana PLC will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 23, 2025, at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, where shareholders will address key corporate decisions, including dividend declarations and board appointments.

The meeting agenda, outlined in a notice to members, highlights resolutions ranging from financial reviews to leadership changes.

Shareholders are set to review the company’s 2024 financial statements and auditors’ reports, followed by a vote to declare an ordinary dividend of GH¢ 0.60 per share. The dividend will be paid on June 23, 2025, to shareholders registered by May 22, 2025. Board re-elections feature prominently, with three directors George Owusu-Ansah, Michael Otchere Duah, and Philip Sowah seeking re-election, while Brett Clark is nominated for appointment as a new director. Additional agenda items include approving a manager’s terms, directors’ fees, and authorizing auditors’ remuneration.

Proxy voting is permitted for members unable to attend, with forms requiring submission to the registrar, Universal Merchant Bank Limited, at least 48 hours before the meeting. The board emphasized adherence to procedural deadlines to ensure voting eligibility.

The notice also listed current board members, including Chairman Edward Effah and Managing Director Christopher Wulff-Caesar, alongside committee structures such as the Audit and Risk Committee chaired by Angela Peasah. Unilever Ghana PLC, headquartered in Tema, reaffirmed its commitment to transparency in governance as it prepares for the annual review of its operational and financial stewardship.

As one of Ghana’s prominent consumer goods companies, Unilever’s AGM outcomes will be closely watched by investors, particularly amid broader economic shifts affecting multinational firms in the region. The meeting underscores routine corporate governance practices while reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts to balance shareholder returns with strategic leadership continuity.
