UT Bank Friday launched the 100 for 100, 00 promotion, a flagship deposit mobile promotion that seeks to deepen relationships between UT Bank and its customers as well as encourage the culture of savings.

Speaking at the launch Mrs Pearl Esua-Mensah, the Deputy Managing Director, said the promotion invited existing and new customers to deposit GHC100 or multiples of GHC 100 into their current, personal savings or ?Koowa? accounts between September and December.

She said with every GHC100 deposited, customers would earn points which would qualify them for the grand draw in December.

?The more 100?s you deposit, the more chances you get to win the ultimate prize and not only that but other prizes as well as the draws to be run every month?, she said.

Mrs Esua-Mensah said over the years since UT Bank started as a non-financial institution, it had been their goal of ensuring they banked the unbanked hence the call for the promotion.

She said the promotion, which was flexible and unique, was not targeted at the very rich but the ordinary people in particular.

Mr Robert Yakohene, Head of Research, said the 100 for 100, 00 promotion was another example of UT Bank thinking of ways of making their customers life easy.

He said rewarding loyal customers and extending a warm welcome to new clients was key to strengthening relationships between the bank and its patrons.

?These activities are in line with our efforts to being the preferred bank for every Ghanaian?, he said.

Mr Yakohene said the ultimate prizes for the major draw would be amounts of GHC 100,000 GHC 30,000 and GHC 10,000 adding that, ?The grand draw which will take place in January 2015, will see other lucky winners taking home prizes such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, mobile phones, television sets among others?.

He saidapart from the grand draw, there would be two main draws that would be held in Kumasi and Tamale.

Mr Yakohene said to participate in the promotion, customers needed a picture and a deposit of GHC 100.

Mr Ekow Inkoom, Head of Business Promotion at the National Lottery Authority (NLA), said the ceremony signified the Authority’s quest to support trade promotions in the country.
He said the NLA had partnered several companies to create exchange fulfillment in corporate social responsibility objectives and stressed that the promotion would enhance deposit mobilization and give back to society for working with the bank.

?This promotion marks the seventh collaboration we have had with banking institutions this year where a life changing opportunities for our people are met, the people who we owe our social mandate to as an institution?, he said.

Mr Inkoom commended UT Bank for coming out with such an outstanding opportunity for its customers and pledged NLA?s commitment to make the promotion transparent, authentic and devoid of rigging.
