Speaking last weekend in Okigwe during the commissioning and dedication of a multi-million naira St Peter?s Catholic Church, Umuopara, Okigwe building which was single-handedly built by the member representing Okigwe North federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Mathew Omegara, the Speaker maintained that no society can develop at a reasonable pace without the good working relationship between the church and the government, as according to him, both social agents are indispensable in the success story of any society.

He commended Hon. Mathew Omegara, for his foresight and genuine love for God and his people, stressing that it takes a man who fears and loves God to even think of initiating such a laudable project.
He described Hon. Omegara, as the new Solomon of his people, having taken after the Biblical Solomon in building a befitting worship center for God, while praying God to bless him, just like He blessed Solomon and crown him with wisdom to enable him continue to represent his constituents aright.

Rt. Hon. Uwajumogu, who also used the occasion to eulogize the Speaker, House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, who was also present at the event, described him as one of the emerging rescuers of Nigeria.
He maintained that with his progressive mindset, the Speaker has established an excellent track record as a national leader, whose decisions and actions are tailored towards the benefit of all Nigerians, irrespective of political, ethnic or religious sentiments.

Uwajumogu, further paid glowing tributes to the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, for his painstaking efforts in ensuring that the process of governance were returned to the people whom he described as the critical component of modern democracy.

He pointed out that this is the first time the people of Okigwe zone were feeling the impact of democracy after the stint of the Late Chief Sam Mbakwe, even after parading notable politicians in the state, adding that the governor has succeeded in rescuing the zone and the state from the firm grip of political elements whose parochial believes are centered on ?government of the few, for the few and by the few? at the great expense of the masses.
The Imo Speaker also noted that the laudable developmental legacies of the current administration in the zone such as the Urbanization and modernization of Okigwe town with street lights, the resuscitated Avutu poultry farm, the Obowo modern Market, State College of Education (Technical) Ihitte-Uboma, Umunakanu campus of the State Polytechnic, Imo Turkish University, Onuimo, various kilometers of asphalted rural roads, free education at all levels and above all, the empowerment of women and youths into meaningful ventures, would continue to speak for the governor even after his reign as the state?s chief executive.
