Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, and Mfantseman Member of Parliament, Madam Ophelia Mensah Hayford, have inaugurated an ultra-modern school block in Ankaful, a fishing community in Saltpond.

This initiative aims to enhance educational access and ensure that no child is left behind.

During a recent media engagement, Mfantseman NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Nathaniel Owusu, highlighted the government’s commitment to education, noting that Ankaful had never seen such a facility before. “Since education is a major priority for the NPP government, Dr. Bawumia and Ophelia Mensah Hayford have swiftly constructed beautiful school blocks from primary to Junior High School,” he stated.

Mr. Owusu expressed frustration over criticism directed at the NPP government and the MP regarding perceived inaction in the area, asserting that significant projects have been undertaken. He praised the government for integrating Abeadze Dominase Private Senior High School into the Free SHS program, complete with dormitories and school buses.

Additionally, he noted the expansion of Biriwa Vocational Institute into a premier technical training center in the Central Region. “Ophelia Mensah Hayford deserves another term to complete her unfinished business for the people of Mfantseman,” he emphasized.

Mr. Owusu also outlined other developmental projects initiated by the NPP in Mfantseman, including a new classroom block in Edumanu, three market projects, palm oil processing factories, a water project, and various infrastructure improvements such as roads and community centers. He asserted that voting for Dr. Bawumia and Madam Mensah Hayford represents a vote for continued development in the region.
