The attention of the Office of the Vice President has been drawn to posters purporting that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has begun a campaign to lead the New Patriotic Party into the 2020 Presidential Elections.
A statement signed by Mr Frank Agyei-Twum, the Communications Director at the Office of the Vice President, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, on Thursday described those purported campaign posters as false and figment of someone’s imagination.
“We wish to state unequivocally that the posters are the figment of the imagination of the originator(s), and we call on all Ghanaians and the general public to treat the poster campaign with the contempt it deserves,” the statement said.
It said the perpetrator(s) of the act intended to cause disaffection for the Vice President but their campaign would fail.
