Vine Christian High School, the leading private Christian High School in Ghana is calling on all parents to sign up for free online Cambridge international education for their wards in grades 7 and 8 including students in JHS 1 and JHS 2 with Ghana Education Service model.

This unique opportunity for students in Ghana was created by the school following the address by the President of Ghana on 15th March to close down all schools in Ghana until further notice.

The school which is based in Ajiringanor, East Legon close to Trassaco is an institution that seeks to prepare Christ-centered world leaders who honour God and achieve their potential. Vine Christian School decided to open its doors to support students who will be home as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19), irrespective of the schools they are enrolled in.

The Principal said, “In these trying times for the nation and the world as a whole, we cannot ignore the importance of our efforts no matter how little it may be, to support each other. Over 700 million children and youth across the world are out of school because of the virus, we wanted this to exclude Ghanaian students as long as we have the capacity.” He added, “I believe this is what Jesus would do.”

The online classes will cover major subject areas including Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language, Global Perspectives, ICT, Geography, French & Physics in addition to acquiring interpersonal skills for high-level collaboration, harnessing digital technology and Christ-Centered attitude for global transformation.

The lessons will be delivered through a virtual classroom, where students can interact with the facilitator and other students in the class, with daily targets for all students to meet. Students will be expected to complete assignments that will be given after every lesson and submit them via the medium directed by subject facilitators.

To sign up, parents must fill this form to provide the details of their ward(s) by 27th March 2020 for their children to be eligible for the classes. Parents will be contacted within 48 hours with the next steps after the forms are submitted.

Students who seek to participate in the class must have access to a digital device (laptop/smartphone) with an uninterrupted connection to the internet. Vine Christian High School already provides chrome books to all of its enrolled students which are used in the everyday class.
