Every time he sort of bittersweet for me. On the one hand, I know that soon I will be going on my annual vacation, and makes me incredibly happy! On the other hand, I know that I have a very long argument over where to go on vacation with the rest of my family …
You see, I like interesting new type of non-standard path locations. Leave, that is absolutely nothing that you personally know has ever gone. I want to go somewhere that is so amazing that other people will be talking about it for the rest of the year! My family wants to go to Disney World … every year.
Do not get me wrong, I love Disney World and we have already several times. But I want adventure!
If you’re like me then maybe Bagamoyo in Tanzania is the place for you, and that’s why.
First of all, where and who the heck is this place? Well that’s a good question.
Bagamoyo is about 30 miles north of the capital of Tanzania. The name means, literally “sets his heart” Swahili. Tanzania, of course, is in the eastern Africa. He is most famous for its beautiful beaches, but there are historical sites, there is also clear, for example, the old ruins.
Historically speaking, Bagamoyo is the oldest city in Tanzania. It was once one of the largest ports in the sale of slaves.
What I love about Bagamoyo is that it can keep my family is happy because of the excellent beaches, which they love, but at the same time take advantage of more interesting things to myself. This is Africa after all, and a quick trip to the surrounding areas can be found, you are smack dab hippos and other large game in the middle.
Bagamoyo was designated a UNESCO World Heritage List.
This is a place where women are still walking through the waves, where a large pile of laundry in big baskets on the head! To say that the area was not touched by the hands of time are a little understatement!
The city also has one of the largest and most famous art colleges in Tanzania. Not only can you check out some of the wonderful African art, but you can also participate in a class, if you want to hear different music performances.
Saadani National Park is 100 km north of Dar es Salaam. Saadani is where the bush meets the sea. This clash of colorful ecosystems found nowhere else along the East African coast. Imagine – a place where hippopotamus compete with coral reefs, lions’ heads and navigate Baboona race along the beach. Elephants have even been seen to enjoy the surf. Game viewing in open 4×4 vehicles, walking safaris and allowed Forrest to return to the hotel – take off your shoes and enjoy a refreshing foot surf.
This area is the perfect balance of pristine beaches and relaxing for the whole family can enjoy as well as what could be considered “African safari” type of experience, and one of the reasons why I highly recommend you look amazing in Bagamoyo in Tanzania holiday will not be forgotten.
