EX-KUMASI Asante Kotoko CEO, Jarvis Peprah, has kicked against the return of Milovan Rajevac as acting technical director for the Black Stars at the Brazil World Cup.
Information making the rounds indicates that Ghana Coach Kwasi Appiah, wants his ex-boss Rajevac to act as Ghana?s technical director at the Mundial.
The Serbian trainer qualified the Black Stars to the 2012 World Cup in South Africa where Kwasi Appiah was his assistant.
Mr. Peprah said he doesn?t support the idea of Coach Rajevac playing any role in Ghana?s World Cup mission in Brazil in June this year.
Considering the gauche manner in which Coach Rajevac parted ways with Ghana, he said ?The Serbian should not be allowed to come near the Black Stars.?
Mr. Peprah said Kwasi Appiah is capable of guiding Ghana to glory in Brazil, citing the smooth manner in which Ghana qualified for Brazil to buttress his claim.
He said even if Kwasi Appiah needs a technical director, Ghana has a pool of experts which the coach could pick from.
Mr. Peprah mentioned Sam Arday, Oti Akenten, E.K. Afranie and Osam Duodo among others as some of the people that could play the technical director role.
The former Kotoko official is optimistic that Ghana would make a mark at the Mundial this year ?and I don?t want any expatriate to take the glory.?
After 57 years of independence, he said, Brazil presents the best chance for Ghana to prove to the world that it can manage its football without external help.
