Ghana requires a win to give her ambition of chasing a fifth Nations Cup trophy a chance and the midfielder has underscored a blameless and efficient game as the only way to defeat the Algerians.

?We made mistakes against Senegal that cannot be repeated against Algeria. At this stage of the competition, we cannot afford to allow errors to show in our game. We need to win and mistakes will be costly.

?The pedigree of our opponent (Algeria) is not in doubt. Even before their win over South Africa which again showed how well they can fight, we all knew they are a very good side. It is by no accident that they are rated the best in Africa.

?We strongly appreciate that fact and we know what the game means to us. We must win at all cost. Which means mistakes cannot be tolerated. We must stay efficient, alert and hardworking throughout the game.?

The Black Stars lost their Group C opener 1-2 to Senegal having jumped into the lead through a 17th minutes penalty by Andre Ayew following a challenge on Christian Atsu.

He told GNA Sports that ?We know the stakes are very high if we are to continue our stay in the competition. It is our target to go all the way and we plan to prove that by lifting our game against Algeria; that will be the start.?

Ghana?s continental glory spans over three decades with most of the current crop of players unborn when the Black Stars won her last trophy at the biannual tournament for Africa?s plum teams.
