Weija-Gbawe Constituency Chairman Hopeful, Mr. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor has led a team of experts from the Hydrological Services Department and Works, lead by Mr. Frank Kofi Dei, the Director of Works at the Works and Housing Ministry to carry out inspection on some flood prone areas in Weija-Gbawe Constituency which need immediate attention to avert possible disaster in this raining season.
The inspection which was carried out today, Thursday 6th July, 2017 was welcomed by hundreds of constituents who live in the flood prone areas of the constituency.
The areas visited included New Weija, Weija, Gbawe, Mallam and McCarthy Hill Down townships.
The director of works at the Ministry of Works and Housing disclosed that, he was to report to the Substantive Minister for the Ministry per a formal  invitation extended by the indefatigable Deputy Health Minister and MP for the constituency Hon. Tina Gifty Mensah to dredge choked drains in the flood prone communities in  Weija-Gbawe Constituency.
Mr. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, who is in charge of the MP’s projects and initiatives in the Constituency lead the team from the Works and Housing Ministry in the company of party executives and Assembly Members for the respective areas inspected.
According to him, the MP is not happy about the rate at which most communities in  the Constituency get flooded during and after every down pour of rain.
He added that, he would work hand in hand with the MP to ensure that flooding is reduced to the barest minimum, if not eliminated entirely J the constituency.
The team is expected to return  to the constituency in few days to implement solutions to avert possible flooding and its associated problems.
