A statement said the awards were presented to the company by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Nigeria Technology Awards (NITA).
Ms Valentina Mintah, the Chief Executive Officer of West Blue Consulting, said they have built a team of African experts, who have been actively engaged as the principal consultants for the National Single Window implementation to empower people, business process streamlining and solution development within a legal framework.
She said Nigeria Customs and the Ghana Revenue Authority, Customs Division, now provide timely, authoritative and accurate information about trade to the rest of the world through the trade portal.
Ms Mintah said the interactive portal offers online advice on customs tariff classification and valuation, tax base, regulatory agencies, customs brokers and currency conversion tools.
“The award speaks volume about company’s commitment to being a pacesetting, innovating and world-class company,” she said.
“The overwhelming need for an efficient and effective service delivery in the Nigeria Customs Service has been well acknowledged by stakeholders in the economy,” Ms Mintah said.
The CEO announced that there would be the Ghana National Single Window conference to be held in Accra on December 1st 2015.
The conference on the theme: “Collaboration – Towards a facilitated trade environment,” is being organized by the Government in collaboration with Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders, CUBAG–FFAG, Ghana Union of Traders’ Association and supported by World Customs Organization, UNECE, Ghana Shippers Authority and ECOWAS.
Ms Mintah said, “Our aim as a team is to consolidate a clear brand identity encompassing technology, product value and service, and West Blue shall sustain its relevance as long as Africa remains on this progressive path.
