The Ghana wheelchair team on Wednesday March 10 2020 presented trophy and medals won at the 2020 PNB Paribas World Team Africa Qualifiers Championship in Nairobi, Kenya
According to ghanatennis.org, Henry Larbi, coordinator for Ghana wheelchair tennis, led the delegation and briefed the GTF board
Vice President- Kwame Djanba and Secretary General Philipina Frimpong about the achievements of the wheelchair team during the ITF wheelchair tournament and took the opportunity to inform the GTF about the upcoming Tokyo 2020 qualifier scheduled in May.
Aside from emerging as the third place team, Ghana’s impressive display saw the women’s team seal a spot at the 2020 PNB Paribas World Cup.
The team was made up of Abdul Razak Nuhu (Men’s captain), Daniel Laryea “Lorlor”, Bridget Nartey (Women’s Captain), Stacy Konadu Mensah and were led by Coach Philip Plange.
For her part, Secretary General of GTF, Philipina Frimpong congratulated the team for raising the flag of Ghana high at the championships.
Present at the event were the Secretary General of GTF, Philipina Frimpong, GTF Vice President Kwame Djanba and some Ghana wheelchair committee members Michael Adade, Coach Yahya Maculey and Jojo Abban and the team that traveled to Kenya -Abdul Razak Nuhu, Daniel Laryea “Lorlor”, Bridget Nartey, Stacy Konadu Mensah and Coach Philip Plange.
