According to Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, the word “conscience” means the part of you that judges how moral your own actions are, and makes you feel guilty about bad things that you have done or things you feel responsible for.
“So, the greatest dragon was cast out, that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9).
Since the above incidence of Satan’s rebellion, there have been either of two forces controlling the heart of man, God or Satan. However, man has a choice as to whose instructions to follow.
“Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey whether you are slaves to sin which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness?” (Romans 6:16).
Unfortunately, many people have sold their hearts to Satan, but yet, carry the identity card of God. This has been possible because of Satan’s strategy of first, stealing or killing the conscience of a victim before using the person (John 10:10).
Today, the marital institution seems to be deteriorating because many participants have surrendered their consciences to Satan. Let us review our conscience.
Where is your conscience? You may have joined a secret cult and no member of your family knows. They can’t suspect because you are very involved in church or activities and even make a lot of financial contributions to the church. Even the church leadership respect you. But you know you belong to Satan’s camp. You know it. Where is your conscience?
As a wife, you are building a house or houses somewhere without the knowledge of your husband who is struggling to meet up with the family’s financial needs. Where is your conscience? Tell me.
You are committing adultery with your spouse’s friend, your ex-lover or someone else. Yet, you pretend to love your spouse. You even spend the bulk of your resources on a strange woman while your wife and children languish in hunger. Where is your conscience?
You are legally married to someone of the opposite sex. Yet, you are involved in homosexuality. Where is your conscience?
You are having a sexual relationship with your own biological son or daughter or even your spouse’s relative. Where is your conscience?
You may have sacrificed one of your children or parents for money ritual. Now, everyone around is worshipping you and your wealth. But you know you are not a happy person. You alone know this. Where is your conscience?
Perhaps you have been opportuned to have access to the finances of your church and you are stealing from the altar of God. As a result, there is not progress in your business, career and innocent family members are suffering, The more you are struggling, the less you are moving. Where is your conscience? Why don’t you confess, repent and release your innocent family members from unnecessary suffering?
As a lady, you may have used a fake pregnancy, or pregnancy from someone else to force a man to marry you. Now, everything in the relationship is upside down because you were not meant for each other. You know the cause of your marital problems but you have continued to pretend as if you are innocent. Where is your conscience? Where is it?
You that has used fetish means to influence the marriage of a couple and you have hindered their fruitfulness because of mere jealousy, envy and unnecessary bitterness. Where is your conscience? Repent before another day meets you with Satan. That is, if you survive God’s wrath.
Maybe you are busy, sowing a seed of discord among blood relatives that have been living happily together, just because of envy. Where is your conscience?
You assemble female teenagers, people’s sisters and daughters and destroy their future by getting them pregnant to produce human beings for you to sell. Where is your conscience?
Are you he that drugs unsuspecting girls and rape them or join an evil group to plan rape of people? Where is your conscience? Maybe you are a married Lecturer. Yet, you are defiling people’s daughters that were given to you to teach and prepare for a better future. The judgement of God is staring you in the face right now.
Perhaps you have killed an innocent man or woman and taken the person’s spouse. Oh! You think no one knows about it? You may cover your sins from everybody. You cannot hide it from God. Where is your conscience?
Are you that government official who has involved yourself in all manner of fetish and cultic practices because you were told and believed that it was your only way to get to the top? Now, your life and your entire family is in a mess. No peace. Even your lifespan is on a scale. You cannot enter the coming days like this. No! The only way you can find mercy is to confess and forsake your sins.
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). There is no peace for the wicked.
Conscience is an open wound. Only truth can heal it. Where is the truth? Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6).
If you are ready to get freedom, say this simple prayer.
Lord Jesus. I surrender my heart to you. Today, I disown every Satanic influence over my heart. Possess me and give me a new life. As I enter another set of days, I welcome a new life in Jesus name. Amen. Congratulations.
