According to a study published by the Lancet Infectious Diseases Journal on Friday, October 24, 2014, the current Ebola outbreak could kill 90,000 people in Liberia by December if urgent measures are not implemented.

The study also predicts that a whopping 171,000 could be infected with the disease within that time frame.
According to one of the authors of the study, Alison Galvani: ?Our predictions highlight the rapidly closing window of opportunity for controlling the outbreak and averting a catastrophic toll of new Ebola cases and deaths in the coming months.?
