Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale, the king and overlord of the Gonja kingdom, has proposed establishing an annual conference for kings and chiefs in northern Ghana.
This initiative aims to enhance collective development efforts across the region.
Highlighting the traditional rulers’ role in regional progress, Yagbonwura emphasized the need for partnerships with stakeholders to uplift their respective areas.
“Just as I did during my visits to Dagbon and Mamprugu, I advocate for an annual gathering of Northern Ghana’s kings and chiefs,” he stated.
The Yagbonwura’s recent diplomatic visits to Dagbon and Mamprugu, initiated in June, aimed to bolster peace, unity, and inter-kingdom relations. His vision is rooted in addressing poverty and advancing regional growth through unified efforts among traditional leaders.
While his next destination remains undisclosed, Yagbonwura’s commitment to fostering collaboration among Northern Ghana’s kingdoms remains unwavering.
