The new Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mr. Andrew Yakubu, has pledged to work closely with the in-house Unions to promote a convivial working relationship among members of staff in the Corporation for greater productivity.
Yakubu stated this yesterday during a familiarisation meeting with the in-house Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.
He noted that for the new management to achieve its ambitious repositioning programme for the Corporation, it was imperative for the management and the unions to be on the same page of transformation for the petroleum industry.
?I want to solicit your support in this journey to transform the NNPC and to assure you that some of the concerns that the unions have raised are already being addressed by top management. The ultimate objective is for us to succeed in this national assignment and it is a collective journey that we must all undertake,? Yakubu said.
